Joanna Krupa Thinks You Should Work Out More Often

Earlier this week, while promoting her cover for Be Active magazine on Instagram, reality TV star and model Joanna Krupa took the moment to body-shame her critics:

“There is absolutely no excuse in not staying fit and healthy at any age! Motivation and drive is the key. Over the years during my career I heard so many comments ... ‘she probably starves herself etc’ I have always eaten anything I wanted. I maintain a diet of 2000 calories a day no matter if I workout that day or not. I make sure to workout 2-5 times a week depending on my schedule. I don’t get lazy even when tired after work or on a vacation ....I find time to be active. It’s called being ambitious and dedicated. It’s a choice. For those that don’t follow that please don’t judge those that choose to be fit.”

Krupa probably didn't take into account how many people can't work out due to illness, and the commenters on her IG page reminded her. Today, her post was brought up on ABC's "The View," and Krupa's physique was brought into question. Krupa later took to her IG page and posted a video in her defense. "I lived my life to try to motivate and inspire others. Being fit and healthy can mean any shape or size," she wrote in her post. "I was strictly talking about myself and then I try not to make any excuses for myself and stay motivated. And to inspire that u don't have to starve yourself sadly like many models do because they feel it's the norm. I don't know why some people took it personal."

Maybe "some people took it personal" because her post, which was initially to promote a magazine cover, wasn't motivational but judgmental filled with quotes you'd hear from a trainer at your local gym or by Fit Mom. Because there are people in the world who legitimately cannot work out due to illness. Because Tess Holliday can't post a video of her work out without getting trolled. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. So, yeah, Joanna, it's personal.
