Charity in the Time of Corona
It's no news to anyone that we're in unchartered territory. We're self-quarantined, trying to keep busy while keeping healthy and some sanity. But watching the news can make all our work disappear. However, there are people in our community doing some good in this trying time: Designer Christian Siriano was contacted by New York governor Andrew Cuomo to help with the medical supply shortage. Siriano's team will make masks that, while not medical grade, are under FDA guidelines Influencer Renee Cafaro, U.S. editor of Slink (full disclosure, where I've freelanced in the past), had committed $25,000 to independent clothing makers to help solve the hospital mask and gown shortage nationwide.
