Facebook Reverses Ban on Aussie Body-Posi Ad Starring Tess Holliday

Last week, an advert for an Australian body-positive event featuring Tess Holiday was temporarily banned by Facebook. According to Cherchez la Femme , the photo of Holliday in a bikini to promote its event on June 7th in Victoria, Australia, went against the social media company's policy regarding heath and fitness images. Knowing the group was promoting body positivity, Facebook suggest using another image "of a relevant activity, such as running or riding a bike." Supporters of Cherchez la Femme and Holliday sounded off about Facebook's reaction to the ad since the ban. And it looks like Facebook listened to the feedback—they reinstated the image of Holliday, which is back on the group's FB event page.
