Plus Size Women on 1% of Fashion Mag Covers in 2017

This year's Diversity Report showed that one percent of fashion magazine covers featured women above a size 12. The Fashion Spot, watchdogs of the fashion industry, tallied 782 covers of 49 fashion magazines published this year. While it noted a slight increase from last year's number of 0.9 percent, five of the eight covers representing plus size women starred Ashley Graham. There were slight improvements in seeing women of color, age, transgender and non binary on magazine covers from last year. However, it's a progression that The Fashion Spot called "maddeningly slow."
