'Dietland' Actor Campaigns for Faith Role

Last week, Sony Pictures announced the upcoming live acton film based on Valiant Comic's plus size superhero Faith. However, no actor has been linked to the role.

Enter Jen Ponton. Most recently on Netflix's "Orange is the New Black" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" as well as AMC's acclaimed series "Dietland," Ponton took to social media to announce her interest in the role.

A day after the news was announced, Ponton wrote "Going on the record here, @SonyPictures:" and posted a full-body photo of herself next to a drawing of Faith.

Strutter reached out to Ponton to confirm that she is indeed pursuing the role in the upcoming film. Ponton replied, "You can bet on it!"
